Circular Economy and the Transformation of Czech Industry – Webinar

Opportunities and Priorities in the Context of the Clean Industrial Deal and Czechia’s National Policy Framework

The webinar will present current priorities and challenges related to the transition of Czech industry towards low-carbon and circular models, in connection with the European Clean Industrial Deal initiative and updated national policy frameworks. It will draw on INCIEN’s continuing industry programme supported by the European Climate Foundation and the European Environmental Bureau. This programme focuses on the role of the circular economy in decarbonising energy-intensive industries and increasing competitiveness and resilience, identifying barriers and opportunities in key value chains (steel, cement, plastics, construction, automotive), and proposing concrete policy and strategy measures for the Czech Republic. The webinar will offer an overview of policy and market instruments to support low-carbon materials, explore opportunities for their integration into public procurement, and discuss the future direction of implementing key EU adopted and planned legislation (e.g. ESPR, CPR, Industrial Decarbonisation Accelerator Act, Circular Economy Act) in the Czech.
